The Gallien-Krueger Legacy 800 bass guitar amplifier top, from the Legacy Series, is a powerful amplifier that allows any bass player to be versatile without any compromises. With a fine output of 800 watts, this top has more than enough power to effortlessly stand out in many situations. The Legacy 800 offers options in terms of impedance, making it easy to combine with various matching speaker cabinets of 8, 4, 2 and even 2.7 Ohms. The entire design of this bass top exudes over fifty years of experience, craftsmanship and innovation, with Bob Gallien's original vision still noticeable in every detail.

Legacy 800: nice and intuitive and easy to fine-tune your bass sound

The layout of this Gallien-Krueger 800 Watt bass head has been carefully designed for ultimate sound control. The compact design houses an excellent array of controls and switches, which are still nice and intuitive to adjust. There's an advanced 4-band EQ, for instance, with that fine division between low and high mid frequencies, which makes it easy to fine-tune your sound. Starting with the pad switch, which adjusts the input signal to match the output power of your bass, you can then get on with a range of tone shaping options. Use overdrive for raw, extra expressive bass tones and play with the boost, bump, contour and presence controls to further refine your sound. For complete silence between playing, there's also a mute switch, of course. The Legacy 800 gives you useful tools to create your own unique bass sound.

More functionality and extra creativity

In terms of connectivity options, the Legacy 800 also has quite a lot to offer you. Besides the standard jack input for your bass, you can connect your tuning device via the dedicated tuner output, so you always play cleanly. The built-in effects loop allows you to easily add your favourite effects for extra creativity while playing bass. An aux input and headphone jack are included for playing with backing tracks or for silent practice sessions.
