Dit is een juweeltje! Na twee jaar op mijn Roland FP 30X te hebben geoefend (gestart vanaf nul) was ik toe aan iets anders. Hoewel de FP 30X een zeer goede instap piano is vond ik de toetsen net iets te zwaar en vooral de bediening te complex. Daar had je de manual of een app bij nodig en dan nog teveel geswipe om instellingen te veranderen. Dus op zoek naar een andere. Mijn kandidaten waren de Kawai ES920, de Roland FP 90x (heeft een nog beter toetsenbord dan de 30X) en de Casio PX S6000 of 7000. Ik was heimelijk verliefd of de yellow mustard kleur van de laatste. De Kawai heb ik helaas nergens kunnen uitproberen. De FP 90X klonk via de luidsprekers zeer goed maar gek genoeg niet zo via de koptelefoon en was ook heel zwaar. De Casio viel me reuze mee. Zeer goede klank, bijzonder aangenaam en expressief toetsenbord, relatief licht en oogt bovendien zeer mooi. Het is de 6000 geworden want de 7000 viel me in het echt dan toch wel wat tegen kwa uiterlijk, ik had er meer van verwacht, en is zo’n 7000 € duurder.
Ik heb de 6000 nu twee weken en ben er heel tevreden over. Bediening is heel eenvoudig (vraagt wel een kort leerproces), de klank is echt fenomenaal, het toetsenbord is voor mij perfect en ze staat nog eens heel mooi. Ooit koop ik nog eens het onderstel erbij. De mogelijkheden zijn zeer uitgebreid en talrijker dan ik ooit ga kunnen uitproberen maar ik merk wel dat ik dank zij de vlotte bediening meer experimenteer.
De glanzende zwarte kast wordt wel eens een vingerafdrukmagneet genoemd en gelijk hebben ze maar dat is het enige negatieve wat ik momenteel kan bedenken.
