In collaboration with the Gibson Custom Shop, Epiphone presents its own finer-priced quality version of the electric Custom 1963 Firebird I guitar. This freshly finished Epiphone specimen otherwise possesses all the vintage features and looks of the original early sixties version based on iconic designs by Ray Dietrich, which were incredibly popular with guitar legends such as Johnny Winter plus Brian Jones and Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones immediately after introduction. By the way, this single pickup solidbody comes standard with matching Inspired by Gibson Custom hardshell guitar case.

1963 Firebird I: high-quality solid, familiar feel and effective sound

The continuous neck consists of a solid construction of 9 parts of mahogany wood and is combined with 2 wings of also mahogany. The 1963 Firebird neck profile of this guitar neck and the familiar 12-inch fingerboard radius will make your fret fingers feel right at home on this Epiphone guitar. You can rest your rhythm hand without worry on the solid Wraparound Lighting Bar bridge. To amplify the warm, earthy sound of this Firebird I in a high-quality and effective way, you have a Gibson USA Firebird Alnico 5 Mini Humbucker with its tone and volume controls at your disposal. Naturally, you will find 6 Kluson Banjo-style Planetary tuning machines on the guitar head.
