I purchased a second Everse 8 to accompany my sax. It is the best compact portable speaker around, great sound quality, bass and volume similar to much bigger speakers, Had to power 70 people disco at short notice and with two definitely up to the task. I don't think that Alto or Bose could do this, which is why I purchased another one.
Personally I would prefer a control panel with more separate knobs, but you get used to the menu for sound adjustments.
Other niggle is that the electronics lose the first two seconds of each Bluetooth stream.
