What is a B-stock product?

A product becomes B-stock when it can no longer be sold as new. It can simply be a product that has been returned by a customer or it may have packaging that is damaged or missing. It’s possible that the product itself may show slight signs of use or damage too. All B-stock products are fully checked to ensure that they work properly and you can find details of why the product is a B-stock in the information above.

B-stock information

The B-stock tab on the product page shows information about the B-stock product. Be aware that this information supersedes anything you may read in the product description. The product description includes text and specifications about the product in its brand-new state. It’s possible that a B-stock item may be missing accessories mentioned in the text or specifications, for instance, but if so, this will always be mentioned in the B-stock information. B-stock products also include photos of the actual B-stock item so that you can see exactly what it looks like.

B-stock photos

The B-stock photos allow you to see the actual B-stock product you are considering purchasing. The photos show the following::

  • Photo of the brand new product
  • Photo of the B-stock product with packaging (if included) and any accessories
  • Photo showing the front of the B-stock product
  • Photo showing the back of the B-stock product
  • Photo showing any damage to the B-stock product (if applicable)

Original packaging

Packaging in good condition: undamaged (sticky tape residue may be visible)
Packaging damaged: box has dents, tears and/or holes
Packaging missing: replaced with a Bax Music box

State of product:

New: the product itself is new, but the packaging may not look new
Signs of use (no damage or scratches): smudges, fingerprints and/or dust
Scratches/damage: product has scratches and/or damage

Can I return a B-stock product?

Yes! Our 30-Day Trial Period also applies to B-stock products.

Do B-stock products come with a warranty?

Yes! Our usual Bax Music warranty also applies to most B-stock products.

General

The Schecter C-5 Standard from the Standard series combines a modern look with comfortable playability and solid construction. The body is made from maple and finished in the stylish Charcoal Satin finish. The bolt-on neck, crafted from roasted maple, features a comfortable Thin C profile and a rosewood fingerboard. Thanks to its 35-inch scale length and 24 jumbo frets, this 5-string bass offers ample range and a tight response. This makes the C-5 Standard suitable for both beginner bassists and experienced players looking for a reliable and versatile bass.

Powerful passive tone

The C-5 Standard is fitted with two Schecter Diamond Standard Soapbar pickups: one at the bridge and one near the neck. These passive pickups are designed to deliver a powerful and versatile tone, allowing you to produce both tight, clear notes and heavy, raw sounds. The Schecter Diamond Bass bridge provides a stable foundation for the strings, whilst the Schecter tuners ensure reliable tuning stability. The black hardware complements the Charcoal Satin finish beautifully, giving the bass a modern, understated look.

Designed for 5-string playing

With its 45 mm wide nut and 35-inch scale length, the C-5 Standard is specifically tailored for the 5-string bassist. The extra-low string offers greater range for modern playing styles, whilst the Thin C neck feels comfortable in the hand. The 24 jumbo frets provide ample space for melodic passages and higher registers. The C-5 Standard comes as a complete bass guitar; the Schecter SCSGR-6B case is available separately. This gives you a versatile 5-string bass with a professional look at an affordable price.
