The sound of the BJW-OPEN 6

The biggest difference between this six-string banjo and a guitar is the sound. One of the most important factors in determining the recognizable pervasive, sparkling sound is the head, which is stretched over the body. In the case of the BJW-OPEN 6 the head is black, which matches beautifully with the matte finish of the rest of the banjo. Another attractive feature of this instrument is the nickel-plated brass armrest. All in all, this is a practical banjo with a characteristic sound and great looks!

Heb kort geleden dit product aangeschaft. Ik speel al meer dan 10 jaar gitaar maar heb me altijd al in instrumenten geïnteresseerd. En deze banjo is een mooie toevoeging tot mijn collectie. Zoals je ziet is het niet het originele 4 snaring instrument, maar Stagg heeft dit tot een hoger niveau gebracht. De afwerking is prachtig en het geluid geeft me zeker dat authentieke banjo gevoel. Maar voor deze prijs is het al een kunstwerk op zich. Denk er wel om dat de bridge los zit. Ik dacht eerst dat ie kapot was maar je moet hem zelf op de correcte positie plaatsen, voordat je de snaren gaat stemmen. Enige nadeel wat ik kon vinden is dat op het eind meer ruimte tussen de snaren en de neck zitten. Misschien hoort dit zo om het geluid te krijgen, maar je kan er niet zoals op een elektrische gitaar solo's op klappen. Maar daarvoor is een banjo ook niet bedoeld. Al met al erg tevreden voor deze prijs.
