General
There was a time where guitarists and bass players all over the world would wonder where there coats had gone. Of course, the drummer had taken them and stuffed them in the bass drum to dampen the sound and reduce sustain. With the Evans BD26EMADHW 26-inch Heavyweight drumhead this tradition can finally come to an end. This two-ply synthetic head offers a clear articulate attack and the included damping rings reduce sustain while eliminating unwanted overtones. The result is a much tighter sound, while the dynamic range of your bass drum remains intact. This is a drumhead that can handle even the heaviest hitters - it's not called the Heavyweight for nothing - so it's excellently suited for genres such as metal and hard rock.
