General
The DiMarzio DP249 Area J Set bass guitar pickups have a warm, vintage-style sound that focuses on sustain and an almost singing tone. The pickup does not have loud or high output, but it does have a very solid attack. The magnet-pull is made less strong, and the four-wire wiring gives you the option of switching both series and parallel humbucking mode. The pickup has a very clean and clear sound, with the high sounding very smooth and open, as well as the low.
