To amplify a kick drum or a piano live, you need a special microphone. The Peavey PSM 3 is one of those. We're talking about a boundary microphone here, which means that its shape and size lend themselves perfectly to being placed in a kick drum or in the soundbox of a piano. This condenser microphone features a back electret construction, which means that the PSM 3 can cope well with high sound pressure levels. Due to a semi-cardioid directional pattern, it also ensures that ambient noise has little negative impact. This Peavey comes complete with cable, windshield and mounting bracket.
