The manufacturing process of German Sela cajons begins with the selection of the highest-quality wood. During their construction, the quality of each cajon is controlled to the highest degree. Not a single cajon leaves the factory without being thoroughly tested first! CaSela cajons boast a professional sound and are extremely popular with both seasoned players and beginners alike.
Sela SE 077 CaSela Vintage Grey cajon
This cajon is 47 x 30 x 30 cm, which are the standard dimensions for a full-size cajon. Its Thin Splash front plate is made of veneer and features a grey finish to give it that vintage look. The body is made of birch with rounded maple edges and its Clap Corners allow you to play bright, defined accents. So you don't forget everything this instrument has to offer, its specs are printed in funky letters on the front plate. Four rubber anti-slip feet ensure that contact with the floor is kept to a minimum for enhanced resonance. A handy feature: the Sela Snare System This enables you to remove the snare inside the cajon for a more traditional Peruvian sound. You can also add an extra snare (sold separately) to create a sharper, more modern Flamenco-style sound. Another great feature is that the front plate is easy to replace, in case it gets damaged or you want a different design or wood type. The CaSela cajon is suitable for young and old, advanced players or beginners!

Musikmesse 2016: New Cajons by Sela
Wednesday 13 April 2016 By LizanneSela presented a number of new cajons at the annual Musikmesse trade show in Frankfurt, as well as a few existing models that have been given a makeover! Now, the popular Varios entry-level model is available with a gold front plate and it even comes in a 37cm-high miniature version, specially designed for the smallest percussionists among us. The most noteworthy of the new additions is without a doubt the CaSela Vintage series.
