The Røde VideoMicro is a compact directional camera microphone that is excellent for use with, for example, smaller DSLR cameras. The only thing your camera needs is a mini jack input. The robust VideoMicro, made by the renowned Australian microphone brand Røde, ensures that the subject of your video comes through loud and clear. Because this is a directional microphone, ambient noise is nicely filtered out, without going to extremes as with some of Røde 's other video microphones. The VideoMicro maintains a natural sound, especially indoors.

The Rode VideoMicro: Essential Accessories Included

The VideoMicro comes with some essential accessories, including a windshield, an audio cable and a top-notch Rycote Lyre shock mount. The latter is more durable and effective than a standard shock mount as it keeps contact noise to a minimum and is built to last. Use the Lyre to mount the microphone to the hot shoe of your camera, and the windshield to reduce noise as a result of wind. An SC7 adapter cable to connect the VideoMicro to a smartphone or other mobile device is available separately.
