General

The SOMA Dvina is a unique electro-acoustic string instrument that was inspired by Hindustan and Persian styles. Equipped with two strings and dots instead of frets, the Dvina shapes relatively low-pitched sound, where the vibrations of the strings are directly converted into an electric signal by a Neodymium magnet and custom transformer inside the body, resulting in a pure amplified sound free of any interference like 50Hz hum. While its design is clearly minimalistic, the Dvina offers unique potential and can be directly connected to stompboxes, guitar amps or an audio interface.
