General
The Stentor SR1597A 4/4 is a semi-finished cello, designed for those who wish to have control over the final finish of their instrument. The top is crafted from solid spruce, whilst the sides, back and neck are made entirely from solid maple. Ebony has been chosen for the fingerboard – a popular and durable wood in the world of stringed instruments. Thanks to this choice of materials, the body of this cello is sturdy and resonant, providing a solid starting point for the adventurous builder or technician who wishes to complete or personalise the instrument to their own specifications.
