General
Zildjian has been in the cymbal making business for a long time now. Since 1623, to be precise, when Avedis Zildjian I started it in Constantinople with the blessings of the sultan. Ever since that time, Zildjian has used a secret bronze alloy for their cymbals, and that well-kept secret has been passed down from generation to generation. The FX line consists of cymbals that create a unique sound, such as splashes, bells and china cymbals.
Zildjian 16-inch Oriental China 'Trash'
This 16-inch Oriental China 'Trash' cymbal produces the trashy china sound that you'd expect, and it has an explosive attack with quite a lengthy sustain to it. Its 16-inch diameter gives it an ever-so-slightly higher pitch and shorter sustain than its bigger siblings, while it does not lack for volume and projection. This cymbal's dark, trashy sound can be the perfect addition to your palette of accents.
