D'Addario Woodwinds' Reserve Series mouthpieces are designed to resemble early 20th century mouthpieces. After all, these were easy to play on. As in the past, these Bb clarinet mouthpieces are therefore milled. But nowadays they are made of a modern, hard rubber and with CNC machines. As a result, all mouthpieces are also exactly the same. The X10E has a tip opening of 1.11 millimetres and a mid-short course length (facing).

Spare mouthpieces

The Reserve mouthpieces are suitable for both beginners and advanced players. They are made for a wide range and deliver a round tone in both the low and high register. Both long bound notes and short staccato notes can be put on easily. Moreover, they prevent biting and unwanted tension in the fingers. Especially for the European market, this mouthpiece has been adapted to an A=442HZ. This is the most commonly used tuning for orchestras, but of course it is possible to tune exactly to the fellow players via the barrel.
