D'Addario Woodwinds Reserve X5 mouthpiece for Bb clarinet

At the beginning of the 20th century, clarinet mouthpieces were made that are still very much in demand today. Of course, these are no longer widely available. D'Addario Woodwinds has therefore developed the Reserve series. These mouthpieces for B-flat clarinets give the player a full tone in both the high and low register. Over the entire range, playing is light with this X5. The tip opening of this model is 1.05 millimetres and it has a medium to long trajectory length (facing).

American model

The X5 is actually designed for the American market. This is reflected in the fact that the mouthpiece is just slightly longer, giving it a tuning of A=441Hz. This makes it just a fraction lower than the tuning common in Europe (A=442Hz). But since tuning is done with the barrel, feel free to use it here too. Made from a new hard rubber, from which the mouthpiece is milled with CNC machines. This produces good consistency, so all products have at most a marginal deviation.
