Wrote the following about Blackstar Studio 10 6L6 tube guitar amplifier combo

Ik was op zoek naar een veelzijdige versterker, die prima dienst kon doen bij laag volume (echt buurman vriendelijk!) en toch een prachtig geluid geeft, en heb die gevonden in deze Blackstar Studio 10 6L6.

Het geluid gaat echt van heel sprankelend clean tot behoorlijk heavy met de ingebouwde drive functie en omschakelen gaat prima met het bijgeleverde voetpedaal.

Ik speel vooral blues en de warmte van deze buizenversterker is echt niet te evenaren. Het geluid is richting Fender, maar heeft meer opties en is heel gemakkelijk in te stellen via master en gain. Dus precies op het randje van oversturen is prima aanslaggevoelig in te stellen, exact wat blues zo mooi maakt.

Ik speel erop met zowel een Fender Stratocaster als een Gibson Les Paul en dat is ook een wereld van verschil. Het schreeuwt meer bij Gibson en blijft heel netjes met een Fender. De versterker volgt vooral de speler zelf, aanslag, fingerpicking of plectrum.

Heb ik nog andere versterkers geprobeerd? Jazeker, Marshall, Vox, Fender en die zijn ook prima, maar vaak vooral voor één sound. En ze gaan vooral veel harder. Deze versterker komt op laag volume met zijn 10 Watt in de buurt van de Vox sound, zeker van de Fender sound (hoewel iets minder twinkelend dan de blues junior) en met drive richting Marshall, maar met wat minder power.

Hoe hij zich verhoudt op het podium heb ik niet getest, maar in de huiskamer is hij helemaal top!

Een aanrader dus wat mij betreft.
