The VOX Hand Wired AC4 is a compact tube guitar amp combo for guitarists looking for the classic VOX AC sound in a handwired version, but at a manageable volume. With 4 watts of power, it is ideal for home, lower-level rehearsals and studio sessions where you do want power tube character, without going instantly deafening.

Within the AC Hand-Wired Range, the basis has been formed by thorough research into old AC15 and AC30 models. You can hear that approach in the typical vintage response: a smooth attack, natural compression and that slightly "slumping" feel (sag) that moves so pleasantly with your playing style. The tube line-up with two ECC83/12AX7 tubes and an EL84 power tube underlines that traditional character.

The 1x12-inch Celestion G12M Greenback (16 Ohm) provides a rich midrange and musical bite, keeping chords full and leads poking easily through the mix. Thanks to the thoughtful cabinet design, the midrange comes out extra well, while the size (330 x 495 x 550 mm) keeps the combo surprisingly manageable.
