General
The King Comp from Orange is a compressor pedal that operates on a Class A VCA compression circuit. You are guaranteed to get studio-like dynamics and a warm, natural feel that are ideal for the stage. After all, this pedal adds extra sustain while your playing remains attack-sensitive, so it doesn't flatten the sound. Adjustable attack and release knobs allow you to set how fast the compression kicks in and allow you to shape each note to your liking. The pedal features a built-in LED that switches from blue to pink when compression is applied. To power this pedal, you need an external 18V DC power supply. This gives this effect pedal even more headroom and clarity, and also makes it suitable for powerful pickups and complex pedalboards.
