General
The original Pigtronix Philosopher's Tone effects pedal is famous for its noiseless clean sustain. This micro model gives you exactly the same effects in a more compact format. In fact, just like the original, the Philosopher’s Tone Micro really stands out among all the other compression pedals on the market with its optical compression and unparalled sustain. It's powered by a standard 9V external power adapter (not included).
Controls
This micro version has four control knobs (Volume, Sustain, Treble and Blend) and a stomp switch. While the first two controls are self-explanatory, it's worth going into a little more detail on the last two. The Treble control lets you cut or boost up to 6 dB at 2 kHz so that you can fine-tune the frequency response of the effect. With Blend, you can mix the compression with your original signal for a more natural pick attack and a sound that is more musical when the sustain settings are extreme. The Philosopher's Tone Micro effects pedal is fitted with a bypass switch for the cleanest possbile sound, even in combination with heavy pickups and line-level signals.
