This cymbal is basically a mash-up between an 18" and 20" crash that, due to the power of the very special Autofocus Response treatment, emits explosive, mix-ripping attack. This treatment doesn't just give the crash its focussed presence, but actually filters out the unwanted overtones and pulls the otherwise disparate frequencies together - hence, 'focus'. Made of B20 bronze alloy and with a raw finished bell, the AAX Heavy actually has a complexity and depth to it, and every time it's struck, you're actually treated to a perfectly balanced response.
