Want a crash that can be used as both an accent cymbal and a rhythm cymbal? Then the Sabian AAX Medium Crash 18-inch is what you're looking for. This cymbal has a medium thickness and an enlarged bell with raw finish, giving this cymbal more projection. Another advantage of the raw bell is that it adds a bit more complexity to the sound. This is enhanced by Sabian's new hammering method, which adds complexity in the low frequencies. Thus, the AAX Medium Crash 18-inch becomes slightly darker, without losing its bright basic sound.
AAX Medium Crash 18 inch: treated cymbal
This cymbal has had the special "Autofocus Response" treatment. This ensures that all frequencies produced by this cymbal are nicely balanced, no matter how hard you play. As a result, this cymbal can rightly be called a versatile cymbal. A nice added benefit of this treatment is that it filters out annoying overtones. So you no longer have to worry about annoying buzzing sounds while playing.
