General

The Sabian AAX Thin Crash Brilliant 18-inch sounds like it looks: bright with a hint of dark. The brightness is, of course, due to the high-gloss finish and the thin thickness of the cymbal. To achieve the complex low end, the cymbal is hammered with a larger striking surface. Also, the bell is raw. Due to the small size of the bell, the cymbal also speaks very easily. It is thus suitable for both accent and rhythm parts.

AAX Thin Crash Brilliant 18 inch: treated cymbal

All new cymbals in the AAX series have had a new treatment: the "Autofocus Response" treatment. This innovation ensures that the cymbals always sound balanced, no matter how they are played. The force with which they are struck also plays no role in this. In addition, it filters out the annoying overtones that brilliant cymbals tend to suffer from.
