General
The Paper Thin cymbals are a relic of the 1950s, and after 70 years of extensive experience with musicians, Zildjian has brought back the Paper Thin cymbals within the iconic K Family. This concerns the 20-inch variant. Thanks to the unique combination of a large cymbal with the extra thin thickness, the K Paper Thin Crash offers an explosive, dark sound that dies away quickly. While playing, the feedback from the stick hits feels pleasantly soft. The cymbals are manufactured using a unique three-step hammering process for flexible, creative nuances of sound. Also, the cymbal's 'shimmer' is extra present when struck thanks to the extra thin profile, for an extra low resonance that cannot be achieved with other K Family cymbals.
