General
The Marine Band by Hohner has been immensely popular among professional and beginner harmonicists alike since it came out in 1896. This improved model, given the appropriate name Marine Band Deluxe, has enhanced characteristics and is preferred by an increasing number of harmonica players. This particular harmonica is tuned to the key of C, which is often used to play with music in the key of G.
Improvements Compared to the Marine Band
Compared to the Marine Band harmonica, the marine Band Deluxe has improved considerably. To begin with, it's received new covers which allow for a better and, if desired, louder sound. Additionally, the new design prevents unwanted 'reed rattling'. This Hohner is put together with a number of screws that can easily be removed for maintenance and cleaning. The new reed plates have a longer lifespan, and prevent reeds from breaking. The triple-lacquered pearwood comb delivers more volume, decreases the chances of swelling, and boast a faster response. What's more, the channel openings and reed plate edges have rounded corners for optimal playing comfort. The Marine Band Deluxe harmonica in C comes in a rugged, zippered case that allows any moisture to evaporate, and prevents dust from getting anywhere near it. All components of the Marine Band Deluxe are available separately, so you can always have spare parts on hand.

I only started playing a month ago with a Hohner Special 20 in C, but struggled as a new player, so i purchased another make of harmonica, however i missed the numbering on the top as i found it easier to hold it the correct way round by looking for the numbering, i have now come back to Hohner with the purchase of their wonderful Marine Band Deluxe again in C. This was delivered today and wow its so much easier to play, i can even easily bend notes on it! i have a tuner so checked it and all the notes were well within parameter. this is definitely the harmonica i will stay with when i decide to get others in different keys.

Ik ben super blij dat ik deze uitzonderlijke harmonica gekocht heb bij Bax-Shop aan een voordelige prijs, hij is zo herkenbaar aan zijn specifieke klank. Ik kan er niet vanaf blijven omdat hij zo'n mooie klank heeft, een muziekinstrument dat je overal en gemakkelijk kan meepakken.

In eerste instantie had ik de Special 20 besteld. Helaas had deze een technisch mankement wat snel en naar tevredenheid door BAX werd opgelost. De Marine Band die ik nu heb is een geweldige harmonica met een mooie klank. Ik ben er blij mee.

Snel geleverd in veilige verpakking en een hoesje. Er is ook link naar een probeerversie om te oefenen inbegrepen. De mondharmonica is niet te groot, past perfect in uw broekzak of speciale broeksriem. Het blazen en zuigen is redelijk zuiver en alle noten zijn goed en zuiver te bespelen. Reeds mee opgetreden en het deed wat ik er van verwachtte. Dus zoek je iets betrouwbaar en niet te duur, dan is dit je ding.

Ik ben een Hohner Orchester Bravo gewend wat ik al een erg mooi instrument vond maar toen deze aankwam en ik probeerde Piano Man uit wist ik niet wat me overkwam. Het speelt ongelofelijk makkelijk en ik heb door dat het enorm mooie geluiden kan maken.
Ik speel nog niet erg lang en merk toch wel dat ik de techniek nog niet heb voor deze harmonica waardoor hoge noten naar binnen ademen nogal vals klinken. Dit is dus wel erg belangrijk om te bedenken als je zelf ook nog erg nieuw bent. Het is geen starter harmonica maar voor gevorderden.
Ik speel nog niet erg lang en merk toch wel dat ik de techniek nog niet heb voor deze harmonica waardoor hoge noten naar binnen ademen nogal vals klinken. Dit is dus wel erg belangrijk om te bedenken als je zelf ook nog erg nieuw bent. Het is geen starter harmonica maar voor gevorderden.
