General

The Allen & Heath GLD-112 is a superior quality, digital PA mixer that features eight faders and fourteen assignable SoftKeys, which is more than its predecessor, the GLD-80. The GLD-112 has 28 motorised faders with four layers each, giving you 112 channel strips to work with. Furthermore, this spacious mixer has 48 input channels, eight stereo FX returns and an intuitive touch screen.

Allen & Heath GLD-112

On the rear of the GLD-112, there are four XLR mic/line inputs, four XLR line outputs, 4 RCA inputs, 2 RCA outputs and digital connections (S/PDIF and AES3). This is easy to expand further with the separately-available AR2412 rack, adding and extra 24x XLR inputs, 12x XLR outputs and a connection for Personal Mixing Systems. What's more, you can use two extra AR84 expander racks as well. The various racks communicate via a regular network cable (CAT5) that can be up to 120 metres long.

Intuitive Operation

Under the bonnet, the GLD-112 is drive by innovative digital technology and motorised faders so you can assign the inputs and outputs to the various sliders and toggle between functions easily, using the practically-positioned buttons and assignable Softkeys. The touch-sensitive colour display has a drag & drop layout, which facilitates fast, intuitive control.

Effects, Recording and iPad Operation

Allen & Heath are known for high-quality, professional audio, but they also give the competition a run for their money in other areas as well. With the GLD-112, you can add compression and equalisation to the channels, along with effects like a de-esser, delay, chorus and reverb. You can record the stereo mix to USB stick, operate the mixer from a distance via your iPad, and use iLive cards (Dante, MADI, Ethersound, ACE) for multi-channel recording.
