General
Convenience, speed and flexibility, the SQ6 from Allen & Heath has it all. This digital mixer features 24 physical fader strips that you can stack, so you end up with 96 channels. You do have 48 physical input channels, but you can easily expand those thanks to the option of plugging a digital expansion card into the I/O port (Dante, Waves, etc.).Because the overview is of course easy to lose with so many inputs, you have a large seven-inch touchscreen on which you can bring up all kinds of settings, parameters and overviews. These in turn can be controlled with the twenty Softkeys and, of course, the pre-assigned buttons.
Ease of use
If there's anything high on the SQ6's list of priorities, it's ease of use. Despite its futuristic look that is incredibly sturdy, everything is designed so that you can start using it right away. But where it really comes into its own is with monitor and in-ear mixes. You have 12 stereo outputs that include not only a graphic but also a parametric equaliser, and thanks to the screen you can quickly switch back and forth. So you're no longer dependent on the unreliable monitor mixer at the side of the stage.
With this package, you also receive the iPad/notebook holder and a Prodjuser SQ6 flight case. Which features a doghouse, which you can open at the top as well as at the back. This allows you to hide your cables and other connections perfectly, giving you not only a neat but also professional look.

De algemene indruk wat deze mengtafel is erg goed, en ik vergelijk hem dan enigszins met de behringer x32 mijn oude tafel. De klank van de SQ is frisser en beter dan die van de x32. Mag ook wel met 96khz maar dit is zeker hoorbaar. Heeft natuurlijk ook met de preamps enz te maken. Verder voelen de faders degelijk aan en is de algemene constructie solide. De software ( besturing ) vind ik persoonlijk fijner dan bij de x32... maar dat kan bij iedereen verschillen natuurlijk. Alhoewel ik alle effecten enz nog niet eens allemaal heb getest klinken de reverbs en de compressors echt goed. Ik gebruik deze tafel in de studio en niet live... wat tot nu toe uitstekend bevalt.
