General

The Allen & Heath SQ Rack is high-end from top to bottom. This pro-grade digital mixer is a more compact, rack-mountable version of the SQ5 and sets you up with 48 channels for mixing live sound. While you don't get motorised faders or as many encoders and buttons as you would with the SQ5, you do get a large, full-colour touch-display that makes dialling the gain settings, levels, panning parameters and effects as simple and intuitive as can be.

The Allen & Heath SQ Rack: Other Features

Round the back of the unit, you'll find sixteen XLR inputs and twelve XLR outputs plus XLR-talkback, AES, USB, network and SLink connectors. Aimed at audio professionals, the SQ Rack even features an I/O expansion slot and is pretty much perfect for mixing orchestras and ensembles where the instruments are relatively predictable as far as their volume goes.
