With the Clavinova digital piano range, Yamaha shows us they know how to reproduce the authentic sound and feel of an acoustic grand piano. This black CLP-635B features realistic samples from their very own CFX as well as the world-famous Bösendorfer Imperial grand pianos. What's more, you've got 34 other sounds at your fingertips as well as 20 accompaniments. The keyboard consists of 88 Hammer Action keys; the ivories have a layer of synthetic coating and the black keys are made of real ebony. You'll be able to play with the same freedom and expression as you would on an acoustic model.
Yamaha CLP-635: Virtual Resonance Modelling
What makes the sound of a grand piano so unique is greatly due to how the tone resonates through the housing. Thanks to Virtual Resonance Modelling technology, Yamaha has been able to simulate a grand piano's string and attenuation resonance as well as key-off samples. It also features Binaural Sampling, which means the position of the pianist has been taken into account while recording the piano samples. As a result, you hear the sound you would expect to hear from an acoustic piano, even if you use headphones.
Possibilities
This digital piano has a set of features you simply won't find on an acoustic model. The keyboard has layer, split, and duo modes that allow you to double or combine sounds, or divide the entire keyboard in two. Furthermore, there are a variety of DSP effects and a 16-track recorder built in so you can record up to 250 songs. You can also play along with 50 pre-programmed songs or use any of the 303 lesson tracks. Last but not least, this piano includes a USB port for even more digital possibilities.

La Yamaha ha una marcia in più nell'imballare le cose: ha fornito il pianoforte in modo tale da poter essere trasportato senza danni, in una scatola dove tutto è stato disposto nel modo più compatto possibile. L'unica pecca dell'imballaggio è il peso, non ininfluente, bisogna decisamente essere in due alla consegna.
Per montare il piano abbiamo utilizzato una guida su youtube (CLP 635 Assembly Guide), in ogni caso esiste una guida stampata sulla scatola e anche nel manuale d'istruzioni. Non è per nulla difficile, ripeto, l'unica cosa che può dar dei problemi è il peso dell'imballaggio e della parte principale del pianoforte.
Passando al pianoforte montato: è eccezionale! Tutte le descrizioni e i video pubblicitari su di esso non mentono, ha davvero le caratteristiche di un pianoforte acustico, con i vantaggi di quello digitale. Rimando ai video su youtube per maggiori dettagli in quanto non finirei più di scrivere tutte le meraviglie di questo piano digitale!
