General

With the Celviano AP-S450, Casio has launched an interesting digital piano. Not too hefty, no heavy backplate, just a piano for the home that doesn't require a lot of lugging around. Now, there are more small-scale pianos available, and the price will be accordingly. However, this Celviano is well above that. A price that belongs to the better models of any other brand. So this is a digital piano to be taken seriously; it has a beautiful sound, a handy lesson method and all the features we always see in digital pianos, such as splits and layers at the keyboard, and a double headphone connector. It is indeed a very suitable piano for e.g. piano lessons - practising in silence. But beyond that, it's a fine piano for a solid round of Chopin. Make no mistake about the brand, this Celviano really is an easy recommendation!
