General
The FSP-500 is a fine entry-level digital piano, but one with 88 Hammer Action keys. This mimics the resistance of the keyboard of an acoustic piano. That means you can play the same way. You can play with 16 sounds, including a beautiful grand piano sound, electric pianos, organs and strings. You can quickly select these sounds via the clear button layout on the compact body. The piano comes with a sustain pedal, but you can also buy a separately available stand, on which you will find three pedals at once. The FSP-500-BK is the black version.
Features
You can combine the sounds present in the FSP-500 with the layer function. For example, you can make piano and strings sound at the same time. You can set the volume of the sounds separately. Furthermore, you can colour the sounds by adding Chorus and Reverb effects. Handy when playing is the metronome, which you can of course set in different time signatures. If you are already more at home in the world of pianos, you can also use the master tuning, transpose and an EQ functions. Also fun to play along with are the 16 demo songs on the piano.
Connections
You can hear yourself play through the built-in speaker system, but of course you can also connect separately available headphones. If you want a bit more volume, you can also connect the piano to external speakers via the stereo line outputs (RCA). The FSP-500 can also be connected to a computer via the USB-B connector on the back. This allows you to send a MIDI signal to your computer and use it in a DAW. Naturally, you also get a power adapter with it, but quite special is that you can also use this piano on batteries (6x D-cell, not included).

Piano tones sound like a piano and the speakers are good.
The weighted keys are about right although they can be a bit sticky and need a bit more pressure sometimes. It is better after a few days of getting used to the keyboard.
Slightly off pitch in the upper octave but that can be set manually.
Enough functionality without it getting silly.

Zocht een standaard voor een enkel keyboard, om mee te nemen naar keyboard workshops, waar ik niet beide keyboards mee wil nemen. Maar hij moest wel stabiel zijn, want ik houd niet van dat mijn keyboard teveel beweegt tijdens het spelen, dit verstoort mijn spier geheugen tijdens spelen, Deze standaard is zeer betaalbaar, en echt super stabiel. Hij voldoet voor die prijs boven verwachting, en heeft een zeer snel en degelijk systeem om hem op hoogte af te stellen. Super aanwinst voor mijn hobby.
