Electro Harmonix's Big Muff comes in various shapes and sizes, providing you with sounds that range from fuzzy to truly distorted. The Metal Muff takes things further, however, enabling you to produce a truly unique, ultimate metal distortion.
How does the Electro Harmonix Metal Muff Top Boost work?
In addition to the familiar Distortion knob for the input gain, the Metal Muff also features a three-way EQ, which allows you to add an accurate boost to your high, mid and/or bass frequencies. Your sound will be prominently present, without losing any of its definition. What makes this pedal truly Metal, though, is its Top Boost, which provides additional bite by adding an extra boost in a narrow section of the trebles. It activates the gain, creating just a little bit more overdrive and colour.
In short, the Electro Harmonix Metal Muff is the perfect distortion pedal for fearless metal guitarists.

Geeft een transparante oversturing, door de eq-knoppen kun je alle kanten op. Dit pedaal kan alleen veel 'tones' bereiken, met name ouderwetse British metal. Maar wanneer je echt moderne metal wilt gaan spelen moet je veel gain gebruiken en na 75% van de gain knop wordt het een beetje 'overkill' en wordt het geluid erg fuzzy, daarom zou ik aanraden dit pedaal voor moderne klanken te gebruiken met ongeveer 40% gain te gebruiken en er dan een overdrive-effectpedaal voor te zetten.

Dit is het ultieme metal pedaal voor de echte metal gitarist
U kunt hier alle bedenkbaren metalgeluiden uithalen met behulp van de treble,mid,bass en distortion draaiknoppen.
Er zit ook een Boost drukkop op die je bijvoorbeeld kunt gebruiken voor vette solo's en om lekker te kunnen shreden.
voordelen:
U het effect naar eigen smaak toepassen
het is geheel gemaakt van ijzer ( behalve de draaiknoppen) dus hij is bijna onverwoestbaar.
bij het leveren zit er al een 9V batterij in. ik heb hem nu bijna een maand en doet het nog steeds zeer goed met alleen baterrij gebruik.
nadelen:
nog geen nadelen ontdekt
conclusie:
Dit is een pedaal waar je je hele leven plezier van kan hebben.

Heel goed pedaal voor allerlei soorten metal, door de 3 heel gevoelige EQs kan je heel veel verschillende geluiden eruit krijgen.
Voordelen:
Heel veelzijdig, ongeveer van Ram Jam tot Slipknot.
Alles is heel precies af te stellen.
De Top Boost functie is heel handig als je boven je band uit moet komen voor een solo.
Je kan harmonische tonen heel goed horen.
Nadelen:
De batterijen gaan belachelijk snel leeg, 45 min. of zoiets.
De Top Boost wordt een beetje te erg als je hem verder dan over de helft draait.
Conclusie:
Een heel goed pedaal, zeker weten zijn geld waard!
Ik gebruik hem grotendeels voor Pantera en andere Groove metal, hij is perfect voor de Dimebag Darrell sound.
