Though he owns an impressive collection of fuzz pedals, alt-rock guitarist J Mascis from Dinosaur Jr has completely built his sound around the Big Muff. As such, he's been rewarded his own Ram’s Head Big Muff Pi signature stompbox, finally allowing him to leave his precious vintage pedals at home when he leaves for gigs. Based on the V2 Violet Ram’s Head Big Muff, this version has also been crammed into a nano-size housing which is not only easy to fit onto any pedalboard, but has been adorned with special edition artist graphics. In short, if you're after the legendary sound J Mascis has been rocking since 1987, this EHX pedal is your way in, although it also works a treat in styles like grunge, punk and even classic rock.
