Distortion or Fuzz? With this Big Muff with tone wicker, you will be supplied with both sounds in only one pedal. Thanks to Electro Harmonix you won't have to choose. Just set the pedal and play with the kind of distortion or fuzz sound you want.
Big Muff or Wicker?
Just like the Big Muff Pi, this pedal can alter the sound and let it contain more fuzz thanks to the Wicker switch. The Wicker switch opens the higher frequencies up and this creates that preferred fuzz sound. As a result, the sound contains more high tones. The pedal can also create distortion when the wicker function is off and the Tone switch is on. This way you'll be able to clearly hear the difference. The pedal can add two effects: distortion and fuzz which is a high, edgy, saturated sound.
Do you want flexibility in your sound in terms of distortion? This pedal is what you need. The Big Muff with Wicker switch gives you not only the original Big Muff Pi Sound but also the real Fuzz!

Er zijn veel Big Muffs, de Pi, de Little, de Nano de Triangle en weet ik veel wat nog meer. Hierdoor zie je in mijn geval door de bomen het bos niet meer, want welke is nu de beste. Ik kende de Nano en de Little al, maar dacht met de koop van deze simpelweg, meer opties is cool. Na thuis hard mee gespeeld te hebben kan ik zeggen dat die enorm bevalt. Soms is het een Fuzz, soms is het Distortion, maar hij klinkt altijd smerig wat ook moet. Het formaat is goed ook en ze zijn gebouwd als een tank, dus deze gaat vast nog een hele tijd mee.

M'n favoriete nieuwe pedaal! Ik was al langere tijd op zoek naar een lekkere Fuzz en na het proberen van een aantal pedalen heb ik uiteindelijk voor deze gekozen. Even wennen in het begin maar klinkt super(vet)! Met de extra switches heb je wat meer opties en als je deze niet gebruikt klinkt het pedaal vrijwel hetzelfde als een normale Big Muff. Ik speel er goed nummers mee van bands als Wolfmother, Muse, The Black Keys, Queens of the Stone Age en The Smashing Pumpkins. Ik ben er blij mee, goede service ook van Bax.

Ik heb de Big Muff + Tone Wicker nu enkele dagen in bezit en ben er super tevreden mee. Ik ben ongeveer een jaar geleden begonnen met gitaarspelen en wilde graag eens wat expirimenteren met een effectpedaal. Na veel Youtube reviews en vergelijkingen heb ik gekozen voor de Big Muff. Ik gebruik hem samen met een MIM HSS Strat. Echt een super dikke grunge sound! Levering van Bax was zoals gewoonlijk erg snel en zonder problemen. Thx!

De Tone Wicker vind ik persoonlijk echt een fijne toevoeging aan het pedaal. Het zorgt voor nog meer keuze vrijheid qua sound en de sustain is echt heel fijn. Het enige nadeel dat ik bij dit pedaal heb ondervonden is dat er (met een originele EHX adapter) via een ongeaard stopcontact in mijn huis een flinke brom in het signaal kwam. Dit heb ik op kunnen lossen door een ander stopcontact in gebruik te nemen, maar dat is wel iets om in het achterhoofd te houden.

Hoewel dit pedaal geen echte 'fuzz' is (maar een overdrive), is de klank uniek in z'n soort. Heerlijk vuile en overstuurde sound, met zeer veel behoud van laag. De tonewicker geeft je de mogelijkheid om de hoge tonen goed te behouden en de tone knop zelf laat je zeer nauwkeurig de balans tussen hoog en laag regelen. Voor zowel single noten werk als akkoorden een erg fijn pedaal. Let wel, als je op zoek ben naar een klassieke distortion, is dit niet het pedaal wat je zoekt, dit pedaal klinkt meer als een fuzz.

Tout simplement excellent!
un son dément, je dirais même des sons déments, tant les nuances sont perceptibles selon les réglages.
Il y a tout de même du souffle mais on sent que c'est du lourd, j'ai eu l'occasion de l'essayer sur 2 amplis complétement différent (un petit fender champion tout lampe 15w et un bandit transtube de 50W), j'ai pu l'essayer avec 3 guitare complétements différentes également ( une cort york time, une jackson warrior et une épiphone les Paul) le plaisir est au rendez vous à chaque fois!
Bref, je conseille cette big Muff!
