General

The name of this Electro Harmonix stomp box - Tortion - already hints at its great distortive qualities. The Tortion is a true expert with regards to overdrive and distortion: featuring an comprehensive set of controls and tube-like JFET circuits, it produces a diverse range of overdriven sounds, from vintage to modern. EHX compare the Tortion to a true database of excellent sounds, making it the undisputed leader of Electro Harmonix’s wide range of overdrive pedals.

The versatile Tortion JFET overdrive

The EHX Tortion gives new meaning to the word versatile. Use the 4-way pre gain knob in combination with the gain knob and the 3-band tone controls of the pedal, and you’re able to produce an arsenal of tasty overdrives. Using the boost foot switch, which activates a gain boost at a separate gain and volume level, you can even add a second channel to the Tortion. That means you’re able to quickly switch between two overdrive/distortion sounds you often use.

Preamp options

The EHX Tortion can be used as a preamplifier pedal as well. Use the XLR output instead of the regular jack output to send a balanced signal to a mixer, for instance. If you do so, the intuitive pedal emulates the sound of a cabinet, so you’ll be able to blast a convincing guitar sound over your PA system without requiring an actual speaker cabinet. The EHX Tortion is supplied with an accessory power adapter.

Electro Harmonix Tortion JFET overdrive / preamp

Top ding. Dynamiek is waanzinnig waardoor je alles in je spel kunt stoppen qua expressie. Vind de amp simulator ook waanzinnig en meest dynamische die ik ken.
