The MXR M193 GT-OD Overdrive pedal is home to an insanely organic and open sounding overdrive, all made possible to the MXR-grade components used to build it. Expect nothing but old-school warmth wiped clean of annoying hum, buzz, and unwanted noise. This little green monster has been fitted with a traditionally simple set of three control pots, so it can be set up to swing from a classic M193 tone, to a raw yet clear rhythm, and on to a sparkling, overtone-rich, solo-ready tone.

Setting Up the M193 GT-OD

While the M193 GT-OD is able to inject your sound with the raw tone demanded by straight-up rock of old, it still manages to retain the natural character of your guitar and amp. Using the Gain pot, your preferred overdrive level can be found, and the Volume pot adjusts the overall output level, while the Tone pot can be use to darken or brighten the result to taste. This mighty stompbox can be powered by a standard 9V battery or power supply.
