General

The Sonic Blue Twanger is not about extreme gain or thick compression, but about character. That direct, unfiltered feel you normally only get from old American, Fender Blackface amps. The pedal responds extremely well to the dynamics of your attack, allowing you to switch effortlessly between a sparkling clean, edge of crunch and a firmer drive. Everything remains clear, with plenty of room in the low end and that typical 'twang' that never gets too sharp.

Two modes, one character

With the rhythm and lead switch, on the side, you can easily choose between two gain levels. In rhythm mode, you get a clean boost (18 dB) with lots of headroom and low noise, ideal as a base or preamp. If you switch to lead, a solid boost (40 dB) is ready with considerably more power for solos. One Control designed the treble knob to work just like the EQ on old Fender amps, creating that typical and recognisable sound. Use it standalone or before other pedals: the One Control Sonic Blue Twanger remains tight, dynamic and typically American sounding.
