The Traktor Kontrol S4 MK2 by Native Instruments is the standard when it comes to controllers for the defining DJ software, Traktor. This 4-channel MIDI controller offers full integration between hardware and software. Integration with Traktor DJ for iPad and iPhone

This second generation Kontrol S4 is completely compatible with Traktor DJ for the iPad and iPhone. That means you can prepare your setlists or cue points on the way to the club, and get to work straight away with your Kontrol S4 as soon as you arrive. It also boasts seamless integration with Traktor DJ for iOS and an extra interface to operate effects using XY pads and loop functions. During use, you can also charge your iOS device, so your mobile device won't run out of juice by the time you leave the stage.

This Traktor Kontrol S4 MK2 by Native Instruments has a comprehensive 4-channel club mixer on board with a 3-band EQ, gain and two effect sends per channel. Two analogue stereo inputs make it possible to connect extra CD players and turntables. The S4 is equipped with top-notch faders as well as a crossfader with a curve you can adjust in the software. In the centre of the controller, you'll find a loop recorder to capture loops from any given channel or from a microphone, which you can then load back into a remix deck. You can also control this loop recorder using an optional foot switch. Traktor is such a popular device due to its amazing effects, of which there are over 30, distributed over two sections. They're also accessible directly via the controller for real hands-on operation. Use the RGB buttons to operate the various cues, loops and remix decks, which light up in different colours to indicate information you need to know, a handy feature in dark clubs, in particular. The Traktor Kontrol S4 MK2 has touch-sensitive jog wheels with sleek aluminium tops and a high resolution of 1000 ticks per rotation so cueing and scratching feel just as authentic as vinyl. The Flux mode ensures your tracks continue silently during loops, scratching and samples so you can pick up your track again at exactly the right point, keeping you and your performance in sync!
