General
The Xone: DB4 is a four-channel DJ mixer by Allen & Heath. At the heart of this mixer is a powerful quad core DSP effects engine that provides all four channels with digital effects. Every effect is automatically synchronised with the tempo of your music. You have five different FX types at your disposal, as well as the Xone Dual Filters.
EQ Per Channel
Every channel has its own three-band equalizer and can be configured as an asymmetrical EQ (+ 6/-25 dB), an isolator (+ 6dB/OFF with a 24dB/octave slope) or as a high-pass/low-pass filter with adjustable resonance. The EQ buttons light up in different colours when another type of EQ is chosen. Each channel has a loop function, which allows you to create loops with a length of 1/16 beat to 4 bars. The loops are also synchronised with the tempo of the mix. As the DB4 always records complete bars, they can be shortened without stuttering in real-time.
Audio Interface
All four channels are switchable between various sources: analogue line inputs 1 to 4, of which 2 and 3 can also be used for turntables; digitally 1 to 4 or USB 1 to 4. A mic/line input with a two-band equalizer, gain, cue and volume controls is at your disposal, which can also be rerouted to channel 1. The Xone DB4 also has a 24-bit, 96kHz USB audio interface, so you won't have to bring an external sound card! It lets you record up to four stereo channels in any DAW. You are also provided with four stereo virtual effect returns.
