General
A media player is nothing without a mixer. That's why Denon DJ have developed the X1800 Prime, a 4-channel mixer with all the features you could possibly desire! As far as design is concerned, it looks like any other mixer with a 3-band EQ, filter and sweep FX controls per channel, a section for your mics, and a section on the right that's almost completely dedicated to time effects. As well as a clear OLED screen that shows all the information you need to know, you also have a touch strip for adjusting the speed of the effect. The button next to that is for assigning specific frequencies to that effect.
The ins and outs
You'll instantly notice that the X1800 has two USB ports above the display. You can use them simultaneously and select them per channel. You can also select another audio source; a digital in, line, phono (up to 4 in total) or DVS, if you're partial to time code vinyl. There are also RJ45 connections for up to four media players plus a computer. That's not all! The X1800 also features MIDI out for a drum machine and send/receive jacks if you want to hook up analogue equipment. When it comes to options, Denon DJ have left no stone unturned!
Mix whatever way you want
Of course, the mixer functions optimally when sandwiched in between two SC5000 Prime media players, but with so many inputs and outputs at your disposal, you've got options galore. Operating the X1800 is simple. You've got channel faders and the Flex-Fader cross fader for fine-tuning, the EQ for choosing either a classic sweep or isolating an entire frequency, and the tried-and-trusted filter knobs. Underneath, you've got sweep effects for creating dub echo, noise, wash out or gate. Let your creativity run wild with the Denon DJ X1800!
