This American Rock configuration shell set consists of a 22 x 18-inch bass drum, with 10 x 7 and 12 x 8-inch toms on top, with a 16 x 16-inch floor tom to your right and a 14 x 5.5-inch snare drum in front you. Also included is the Pearl Hardware Pack 830, consisting of three cymbal stands (including hi-hat stand with pedal), a snare stand and a bass drum pedal. Cymbals are not included, so you are free to choose from the countless available brands, materials and sizes.

An important factor in this excellent quality is the type of wood that is used. The 7.5mm thick shells are made of a 6-ply mix of poplar and Asian mahogany. And if that's not enough, the 45-degree bearing edges create a pronounced sustain with extra resonance. The triple-flanged hoops contribute to the sharp attack. The toms also sound exceptionally good. They are mounted with the Opti-Loc tom mounting system, which means they are very securely mounted, without sacrificing that all-important resonance.
