General
Remo are known for their drumheads, but their kits are worth taking a look at too. This 4-piece shell set consists of a 22x16-inch bass drum, 10x9 and 12x10-inch toms and a 14x12-inch floor tom. You can mount the toms on a holder or on the bass drum, and the floor tom can either go on the included stand or hung on a cymbal stand, for instance. The tone and configuration of this kit will give you the tools you need to embark on any musical journey for both beginners and advanced players alike.
Acousticon
The shells in this kit are made out of a special material called Acousticon, which was developed by Remo themselves. It's made of a mix of recycled wood fibres that have been laminated under enormous pressure. Acousticon has a number of advantages compared to regular wood, namely it has a more consistent tone, is less sensitive to changes in temperature and humidity, weighs less and is less expensive to mass-produce. In terms of sound, Acousticon is somewhere between maple and birch. To top it all off, this kit has a fancy Chrome wrap finish.
