General
Finished with the same diameter and tear-drop tip as a pair of W-5B sticks, the Wincent W-5BXL drumsticks are extra long, adding on another 14mm to increase the reach and boost the power and volume. They're also extra-durable thanks to Wincent's unique production process, where each stick is carved into shape using a grindstone rather then a wood lathe before being given an ultra-thin coat of wax to prevent splintering, making them "as close to metal as wood can get".
Wincent: Swedish Quality
Wincent was founded in 1992 when Swedish drummer Dan Nylén wasn't too impressed with his rods, so just decided he'd have to make them himself. With the help of his father's experience as a carpenter and a little garage space, he started to produce his first bespoke sticks. In honour of his father, Nylén took on his Dad's middle name as his drum-stick moniker: Wincent. Ever since, Wincent has been producing rods and sticks with a focus on durability, using an ecologically conscious approach.
