The 545SD microphone is a dual-impedance dynamic microphone suitable for use in theatres, classrooms, houses of worship and other environments that are rich with reverberation. By varying the frequency range, the mic softens up the original sound, and shapes it into a normal sound with reduced reverb. The uniform cardioid pickup pattern is a great help, as it minimises feedback and reduces reverb even more. Finally, the magnetic on/off switch allows you to turn the mic on and off silently, and you can even lock it in place, which is quite handy during a performance, for instance.
