Based on the sixties icon that managed to dethrone many a condenser microphone, the Warm Audio WA-19 dynamic microphone has inherited all of the clarity and detail of its inspiration, which was the same dynamic microphone that once served as a drum overhead for none other than Ringo Starr. The lush, transparent sound of the WA-19 has a lot to do with the slim body, which ensures that this microphone is barely touched by the proximity effect. If the low-end needs reining in a touch, then the ring mounted just beneath the head can simply be rotated to engage the built-in high-pass filter, while the full-range and flat frequency response supports an array of studio and stage jobs so that, just like the original, this model can mike up everything from tom drums to acoustic guitars.

Wrote the following about Warm Audio WA-19 Nickel Dynamic Microphone

Na een hoop reviews en video's, toch de WA-19 gekocht. Voornamelijk voor in de studio, als een all round dynamische studio mic (met een Triton cloudlifter).
In de studio klinkt hij geweldig, op akoestische gitaar, maar zeker ook op vocals en zelfs als cabinet mic. Ik kocht hem ook om live te gaan gebruiken, voor vocals. Maar helaas is hij daar echt te gevoelig voor. Zelfs met een high pass vanuit de mixer. Hij pikt teveel op, waardoor je eigenlijk niet afkomt van een holle mid-laag feedback, met name uit de monitor. EQ helpt iets, maar lang niet afdoende. Teveel gedoe om live te grbruiken dus. Wellicht dat een andere locatie beter is, maar vooraosnog denk ik dat ik hem niet meer als live mic ga gebruiken. Ergens toch jammer.
