The MD42 and its wind-avoiding behaviour
The MD 42's construction is made to counter wind noise and ambient sound. It lets the wind pass through the mic head, but without the capsule suffering from it. Handling noise is also ideally suppressed thanks to the capsule, which is suspended in rubber.
