Sennheiser MD 46: Can handle a beating

To ensure the durability of this mic, the MD 46 is provided with a metal housing and a rugged grille, which protects the grille among other things. Handling noise is eliminated by the compact shockmount that holds the capsule, so that you can hold it without any problems. Furthermore, it can handle high SPLs.

De kwaliteit van Sennheiser is genoegzaam bekend en die is hoog! Ik gebruik hem voor het opnemen van interviews. Ik heb expliciet voor de cardioide MD46 gekozen en niet voor de omnidirectionele MD42 omdat ik juist te veel achtergrondgeluid wil voorkomen. De microfoon is prettig in het gebruik vanwege de lange hals en vanwege de lage gevoeligheid voor windruis en contactgeluiden. Samen met de Marantz MD661 en het ingeschakelde Low Cut filter heb ik glasheldere opnamen.

Het is een solide microfoon die prettig in de hand ligt.
