General
The Rode Reporter microphone is engineered for indoor and outdoor use and is optimised for speech, making it particularly suitable for interviews. The omnidirectional capsule picks up sound from multiple angles and boosts vocal frequencies so that that sit on top of the initial mix.
Housing, components and technology of the Reporter microphone
The Reporter microphone has a slender, elongated chassis that's easy to grip. The omnidirectional pickup pattern is slightly recessed to prevent wind and handling noises from getting captured. It also has a multi-layer grilled that acts as a filter. The Reporter comes complete with a flag for displaying your station's logo while on the air and its XLR output makes it easy to connect to any professional camera system.
Accessory pack and options
The Reporter Mic comes with a practical storage pouch and a flag. It can also be mounted on a stand for use at press conferences.

I found the Rode Reporter to be a great handheld microphone for reporting, interview and multi-purpose situations where a handheld microphone is required. I record into a zoom H6 and a Zoom H4N and both work amazing with the Rode. The Microphone is robust and very well made with a beautiful colour finish. The omni direction pattern gives you a flexible and safe was to record two way interviews with out having to move the microphone back and forth.

I am giving it 5 stars for the price/quality/build. I have used this in combination with a SKP 100 Sennhieser blok and the quality is very acceptable for broadcast. Also great to use this in noisy locations.

De Rode Reporter microfoon is een stevige en goed klinkende microfoon die het omgevingsgeluid niet meepakt, dus uitstekend geschikt als interview microfoon. fantoomvoeding is niet vereist, maar je kunt hem wel aanzetten. De prijs is een beetje aan het schommelen. Nog niet veel mee gewerkt, dus later nog een review. Het brand-vlaggetje is ook stevig gebouwd.

Werkt top. De microfoon zorgt ervoor dat het geluid mooi egaal binnenkomt en niet piekt. Gebruik de microfoon voor de presentator. Hoeft niet tot weinig met de microfoon heen en weer te bewegen in interviews.
