General

This is the DR Strings PB5-40 Pure Blues Light 40-120 bass string set. This is a long scale quantum nickel wound string set with a round steel core wire intended for 5-string electric bass guitars. The round core provides a warm, sustain-rich base tone and a more flexible playing feel. In order to still enjoy that familiar smooth feel of a nickel winding and also benefit from that tight and bright sound of stainless steel, DR Strings has developed a special quantum nickel alloy for the winding wire. String thicknesses range from .040 to .120 for a slightly smoother feel on a 5-string electric bass.
