This is the DR Strings PB-50 Pure Blues Heavy 50-110 bass string set. This is a long scale quantum nickel wound string set with a round steel core wire intended for 4-string electric bass guitars. The round core provides a warm, sustain-rich base tone and a more flexible playing feel. In order to still enjoy that familiar smooth feel of a nickel winding and also benefit from that tight and bright sound of stainless steel, DR Strings has developed a special quantum nickel alloy for the winding wire. The string thicknesses range from .050 to .110, allowing you to tune down to 1 whole note on average and still maintain the right feel and similar string tension while playing.
